why the hell do flags have to be less than 10KB?!!
i simply cannot make an image of that size.
flags are such a cool thing, it makes no sense to kill them with ridiculous restrictions.
it sucks, i ought to be changed, now.

Other people haven't had any trouble making great flags within the restrictions. You simply need to try harder.

It's not gonna be "changed, now", because it works. There are people who like creating flags who'll do it for you. Check back through this forum for posts (or maybe one of 'em will kindly post here).
Also,i ought to be changed, now
I can only agree. One way to change would be to chill somewhat. Wait till you know a bit about the game before you get all indignant about its faults.

I originally had difficulties w/that too, but it helps to use a different format for your file (switching from bitmap to .png was a godsend for me).

Describe for me the flag you would like and I might be able to design it for you.

Perhaps instead ranting and raving like a petulent child you might ask if someone could create one for you if you are not capable of it.
If you ask nicely, I might even make one for you.
I have drawing software.
And yes you ought to be changed now :p
Umm...I operate a flag storefront in International Incidents. You could send me an order if you'd like.

i had no problem drawing up me own flag.
I just used MSpaint! did the job quite well.
I also took an autoshape from PowerPoint...to add some zest if you will.
Although my flag seems relatively simpler in comparison to some of the [very nice] works of Itinerate Tree Dweller, I think it does a good job.

I think it's important to reiterate this point, because it is a biggie. Some image formats just use more hard disk space than others. Use JPEG, or if you prefer a lossless format, GIF.

There were once 130,000 nations. Do the maths.

PNG files will almost always be smaller than GIF files of the same image. (Especially if you use something like OptiPNG to shave off a few dozen extra bytes.)
