so this has probably been asked before, but how do they choose the featured region of the day? do the nations have to be similar to each other in UN category or something? I know that the smallest number of nations to be featured is 5, but beyond that I can't figure it out. I guess I wondering if it is picked randomly (by a computer), or if someone chooses what regions get featured

It is done randomly but there are some requirements like no password protection and over ten nations I think.

1. The region must have five nations or more.
2. The region must have no password.
3. The region must not be a class region.
