I played Nation States a few years ago with some friends, when it was much smaller, but have now started a new nation.

I have two questions:

Have I been placed in a region that most fits my initial preferences?
and
What is the best region to reside that fits my Liberal leanings?

If you mean one of The Pacifics then no, you are not placed there; all new nations begin from there and then you move or even choose to stay there.

Most of the regions in NS welcome all kinds of nations but if you are asking which region will fit you, then you will get a LOT of recruiting messages and telegrams. It's up to you to decide what to do and where to go.

In fact, i am a UN Delegate of a small region, that is completely new and currently has 11 nations. Well, i am a recruiter so i am inviting you to just have a look in the region and then decide by yourself.

I have gotten a number of telegrams with invititations to join other regions. I have looked at them, but they don't seem to fit. I just want a non-dungens and dragons type region that is liberal friendly.

We are a bit silent but the Founder and me are still working on the region. We are really new.

Um, OK, so do you want a roleplay-type region, a UN-active region, large region, small region, medium-sized region, bureaucratic region with a complicated government, or just someplace to chat? There are many kinds of regions out there, but if political leanings are the only thing you're concerned about, try Anticapitalist Alliance or NationStates (the region). Both very liberal-friendly. :D
