A question about harassment

I would like to ask you older players about how to properly go about dealing with players which insist on entering your region to continually leave argumentative posts on your RMB.

A member some weeks ago left the region after they were dismissed from a government position, and they left after throwing a tantrum within the region. I excused it then and life went on.

For the past three days this same member has entered the region several times a day using a different puppet everytime to post insults and to cause unrest within the residents of the region. Then they leave.

At first I defended my position but have since stopped replying to their posts so that I don't appear to be provoking this behavior.

Understand that this isn't an in-character argument nor is it a political one. It has not been provoked with the exception that the ex-member did not like being dismissed from office and this behavior has not been solicited nor sought after by me in any way.

How do I stop this harassment? There are now two players doing it. They are in and out so there isn't an opportunity to ban/eject here and even if I did catch one of them, they use a different puppet everytime anyway. They have been asked politely to stop but seem to like to state their fact that they aren't doing anything wrong and flaunting that I am powerless to do anything about it. It's a free region so I don't much like the idea of password protecting a region of 270+ nations because of one or two individuals and according to the response I received after seeking advice from moderators, there isn't a warnable offense here.

What would you do to end this? Is there a process of reporting it everytime so that a pattern starts to become apparent which WILL become warnable? It looks a lot like grieving to me but somehow is dancing on the line.

I figure that more than a few of you have run into this in the past so I'd rather ask the question now then not know the answer later. Thanks.

Yes, please report it, using the regional snapshot function as well, in case your RMB is high traffic.

As for actionability, it largely depends on what's going on. Should a pattern of abuse become visible, it will be delt with. And while your tools can't help you with puppets, we're more than capable of dealing with that sort of thing.

Also, I understand your concern about the password, but you do have a couple options with it. You could make the password visible to residents, so they could come and go as well as share it with friends, or you could simply fully password the region for a few days and then lift it. There's a good chance they may stop after being unable to get in for a bit.

I appreciate the advice. I'll try passwording the region for the weekend and see what comes next week. If it continues, I'll file a report everytime so that it can become known as a concern. The residents are already beginning to stir and that's simply not cool for a region of peace. Thanks.
