I have no clue what the point of a dossier is, and so far I was trying to find out by just adding more nations to the list, but nothing's happening. I just want to know what are the benefits and disadvantages dossiers having. Am I setting up my nation's demise by just adding more nations to my dossier list or am I just being a greivance on those nations?

A dossier looks to me to be the equiviliant of a friend's list. The larger your dossier, the more friends you are keeping track of.

I use mine to keep track of my own puppets. It's a quick way to visit regions I'm interested in (I keep puppets in many many regions).

Being a world player requires me to have a dossier teeming with important contacts such as the Village Idiot of Waldomer, or the Robot Overlord of Crankcase 5.

Same here. It's a good way for me to keep track of when I need to log into my puppets to keep them alive.

I use my dossier to basically keep important nations, that I telegram quite a bit, easy to find so I don't have to type their name into the World all the time. I also use it to keep tabs on regions of importance to me.

That's what puppets are for. ;)
