Richest Nation in the (NS)World

Spaam
21-03-2007, 03:00
I'm just curious as to the richest nations in the world (in terms of GDP)

Spaam is the richest in The Heartland with $377.3 trillion, and I'm sure there aren't too many with more.

(Cos the NSEconomy site is down...)

Well, I'm in second for my region at 380 trillion. Praetor leads his region with 456 trillion. At a guess, though, I'd say The Grendels is probably at the top of the world. Wysteria is just too big for NSEconomy to scan.

Close, but not quite. (http://nstracker.retrogade.com/index.php?nation=the+grendels)

Though of course, that's by calc, not by rankings.

I tend to ignore what calculators say, as the population is a factor, giving the nations created earlier an unfair and permanent advantage in this.

That sounds like sour grapes. The nations that have been here longer and have stuck at the game should be rewarded. Plus in the real world, population is also a factor. Individuals in China are very poor, but China is still one of the richest nations in the world.

And you don't have to be the biggest to be the best... I'm only 13th in my region in population, but have made it to the top due to my economy. Someone in our top 10 only has a population of 6 bil.

Plus, if you pretend to be richer than us nations of over double your population, we'll prolly just point and laugh at you.

I think that is a better calculator, as it comes up with the same answers, and doesn't crash on large regions. And yeah... doubt that anyone would catch Praetor with his massive pop AND great economy.

My puppet West Ariddia has a GDP of $393.5 trillion (http://nstracker.retrogade.com/index.php?nation=the_grendels&nation2=West+Ariddia&nation3=&nation4=&nation5=&nation6=). Slightly less than The Grendels' $416 trillion, but West Ariddia is richer per capita ($46,990.98 per capita, against $45,440.85 for The Grendels). West Ariddia is also richer per capita than Praetor (http://nstracker.retrogade.com/index.php?nation=west_ariddia&nation2=Praetor&nation3=&nation4=&nation5=&nation6=).

Richer than Spaam, anyway. :D

Yes, but in the real world, population is not proportional to how long a country has existed.

There's an error there. It gives you GDPPC in NS$, not C$ as it says. Your GDPPC is around NS$41 (or C$22)

Meh. I use NStracker (more info + details), it gives me the numbers in Creditos, I just multiply by the conversion rate.

since nations come, and nations go, and its an economy factor anyway, is there anyway to find out who simply has the largest population in the world?
For that matter, is population ever one of the daily rankings, as in who has the largest in NS?

NStracker is rather nice, too, and doesn't depend on regions.

$416,601,754,078,003.19 is the GDP of hte Grendels.

Older nations don't always have bigger populations in NS. It's not proportional.

Normally, the older nations DO have the biggest populations. I only know of two exceptions:

1. If a nation dies and is brought back, it might be smaller than a younger nation.

2. If 2 nations are fairly close in age, the newer one could be slightly bigger than the older one.

you obviously don't know how it works. No, apparently you don't. Last Hope is the oldest existing nation in the game. It ranks in the mid 30's for largest population.

Furthermore, comparing anything in this game to the real world is an exercise in the absurd. Especially when dealing with the economic issues where the world powerhouses have greater populations than Earth does.

The NSTracker/NSEconomy model treats 'Superb' and 'Excellent' political freedoms exactly the same, as it does 'Very Good' and 'Good'.

Technically I'm not sure if we should count Praetor, due to the population bug. :p In terms of GDP Moneystan is (appropriately) second with 453 trillion and a GDP per capita of $47,908. The highest GDP per capita I've seen is Dvorakia's, at $48,465 (406 trillion GDP).

So overall, nations I've found so far over $400 trillion include:

1) Praetor - 460 trillion
2) Moneystan - 453 trillion
3) Senexia - 440 trillion
4) NewTexas - 439 trillion
5) Sunset - 438 trillion
6) Sanctum - 437 trillion
7) Laidir - 435 trillion
8) Nianacio - 430 trillion
9) Koffee - 429 trillion
10) The Ctan - 429 trillion
11) Otaku - 428 trillion
12) Autonomous City-States - 427 trillion
13) Corintur - 427 trillion
14) Imnsvale - 426 trillion
15) Crystal Palais - 423 trillion
16) Bobsylvania - 422 trillion
17) Mariusgrad - 421 trillion
18) Karlonia - 421 trillion
19) NovaNet - 420 trillion
20) CLU - 420 trillion
21) GRAS - 418 trillion
22) Dopdon - 416 trillion
23) The Grendels - 416 trillion
24) Teral - 416 trillion
25) Ltlaliens - 414 trillion
26) Go Canucks Go - 413 trillion
27) Feoras - 412 trillion
28) Pendulous - 412 trillion
29) Sketch - 410 trillion
30) The Golden Arches - 410 trillion
31) Midlands - 410 trillion
32) Sherlockazulu - 409 trillion
33) Dvorakia - 409 trillion
34) Reaganodia - 409 trillion
35) Harmless Teddy Bearsa - 409 trillion
36) Interfice - 408 trillion
37) Snowcat - 408 trillion
38) Djorvak - 407 trillion
39) The SouthEast - 407 trillion
40) Moraedhel - 406 trillion
41) Massive Mechanical - 406 trillion
42) Billybo - 402 trillion
43) Equus - 402 trillion
44) Iconoclastica - 400 trillion
45) Estavia - 400 trillion

I'm sure there are more, I just couldn't be bothered to spend another 30 minutes of my life looking for them. (Yes I am -that- bored.)
