problems with schools

it seems ive been adressed with a rather distubing issue. our school children are having behavioral problems, and the teachers dont know what to do. they wish to establish a corporal punishment issue, where they will be able to take a paddle to the children. i realise that most countries have done this far back in the past, and it worked. but other issues seem to be more reasonable. for instance, improving the teachers, home schooling, or doing a total makeover of the school system. how do you run your schools?

In Thabo, we have a somewhat flexible schooling system. We have kindergarden to 12th grade, our senior in highschool, much like the United States. We mix the students' genders to help behavior, for, just like with hampsters, not having a mix can lead to agression. Also like with hampsters, it is best to keep the ages together.

Our punishments are as we see fair according to the student's actions. Our teachers follow a strict guideline for teaching, but as to how they get that information into the child's brain is completely up to them.

Homeschooling is not advisable. It rapes the students of social devolpement, something important for jobs in the future.

I would make sure the students get breaks, for sitting in a class for hours at a time is not only depressing and stessful, but I'm sure that it causes their attention to dwindle.

The lunch sould not include many sugary foods, for these may also affect behavior in some students.

As for punishments, I would advise on trying to locate the problem in their behavior, then deal it as soon as possible. If more problems arise or the students are simply incapable of behaving then I would advise on punishments as you see fit, or at least go to their parents for assistance, for they might both know the problem but also may be able to stop it at home.
