our corporations are "trying" to donate money to our political parties. most of the citizens are outraged. my brother says just to scrap the whole voting thing. but i dare not do so. we are trying to rebuild our shattered nation not support the politics of it. what do you do?
there is only one effective way to deal with crime, and that isn't punishment but to avoid creating incentives for it. er well, in real life, if there's anything to be gotten out of doing anything, whatever the risks or consiquences, someone, somewhere will. and increasing the severity of punishments, while perhapse eliminating the more casual participants in criminal activity, only selects for the more ruthless to remain.
at least that's how it works in real life. there have been places, in real life, that have had the death penalty for everything, and if anything, had as much, if not more, crime, then any place else.
but again that's real life. how this works in "the game" is beyond my rationelle to even begin to guess. i suppose there are a number of factors involved. it goes up and down.
there may even be specific answers. whatever they are, this is how it appears to work in real life. it will be interesting to see the clearification from those who know if they feel so inclined to provide one in the context of 'the game'

In terms of the game, what you can do to decrease crime is to make your police force bigger and oppress your people. The closer to Anarchy that you get, the worse your crime problem becomes.
