Why can't I run my goverment I have in vision?

This is my main account,...But I have a problem with my alt.

I wanted to run a peaceful monarchy and be a king that wanted the best for his people. Agruabaly the best type of government according to some old philosophers

But if I chose to be the sole ruler...It becomes a dictatorship. If I don't allow mandatory Organ donations, I become a pychatric dictatorship....Something is wrong with this.

What, you think your decisions won't have unexpected and unintended conquences?

Words, words, words.

The only real way, in my opinion at least, to convey your vision of your nation is to roleplay it in that way. For me, what NationStates tells me has little bearing on how I roleplay Krasnamoya. I have 85 million people, regardless of my alleged 69 million, and I will continue to have that many once the counter surpasses that. There is little trout 'farming'. The police are well funded.

So, your country is whatever you want it to be, unless you want NationStates to make your decisions. It's hard to create the ideal state with such black and white choices. That's just my two cents.

I have no real technical answer for your question, just a suggestion. Good luck.

And that's both extremely tacky and stupid. If you want to roleplay in a way that isn't bound by stats, try making a jolt account instead of a NS one.

As for the topic poster, a "dictatorship" can be a monarchy. As long as the leader has absolute say in everything, it's a dictatorship. And so a non-democratic monarchy would in fact be a dictatorship. In short, it's fine.

I don't ignore NS stats, but I'm not totally ruled by them either. I start with a general idea of what my nation is. I answer the initial questions, and the issues based on that idea. My nation is influnced by NS's consequences, but ultimately, it's still MY nation. At one time, I RP'd my nation as having half the population NS sad it had, claiming that the "UN census" was before a major war. And though I've kept Romanar a democracy with "excellent" political freedoms, it's still controlled by evil corporations who can fix the elections, making it less free than some dictatorships, official laws notwithstanding.

Beg pardon? What's wrong with deciding what you want to roleplay? And who made you Grand Arbiter of what is right and proper in NationStates roleplay? (Oh, and Jolt accounts can't post here, only NS natoins.)

I know of at least one venerable nation, run by a fellow mod, with (I believe) a population of 4. Not 4 billion, not 4 million, just 4. If memory serves, the leader is a sprawling AI on a vacuum moon, and the other three serve the purposes of the AI in some sense. For all you know, they have the economic, military, and political clout of a nation of 8 billion.

If you want your game stats to reflect your ideal concept of your nation, you'll have to experiment with issues and UN membership until you get it right. If you aren't in the game for stat-wanking, that's fine too.

If you want to dictate to people how to RP, create a MMORPG and make the rules yourself. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste too much time telling people you don't like the way they play their nation.

Be sure to spread your message onto the space-faring 'nations', they are of course also tacky and stupid.

Y'know, cause of originality and such.

I'm not trying to illicit some kind of flamefest here, just try to think before you speak. Thanks.

I mean in the sense that if stats are ignored, there's no real point in the gameplay aspect, hence my comment about just registering a jolt account.

And did you read the point about Jolt accounts not being able to post here? Only those with NS nations can post in the NS section of the Jolt Forums.

If he doesn't want to be bound by stats, so be it. If you don't like it, don't roleplay with him.

No, I apparently missed it.

I don't.
