is only about 27,000. How do I increase this pitiful amount? And my tax rate? (I'm new here)

For GDP, it depends on the calculator you're using. As for tax, you can increase it directly, or indirectly(increase spending or regulation).

How would I directly?

Well when you get an issue option that allows you to directly raise taxes, choose that very option.

It also Depends on the way you answer issues, and your size. Older nations tend to have huge GDP's because they have either answered issues to the affect of razing it, and because the more people you have the larger GDP you get.

Well yes and no. The way issues are answered indirectly effects the GDP output of the calculators. That is, they have no way of scanning how you answer issues, only the xml file. Though issues do effect that.

Also, how may I raise my military budget (see NStracker in my siggy) from more thatn 8%, and lower the ridiculous 'Law and Order'?

Annex nearby nations, build nukes, prepare for war when called an international pariah, build orbital weapons, or, surely enough, you can directly increase it.

As for law and order, decriminalize everything or again, directly cut it. Do not however, enact strict penalties or hold trials over duals, that will increase it.
