I swear, lately I have received more and more recruitment messages while I sit in my player created region. I've talked to a few others around here and it seems that they have been having the same issue. What is the deal lately? Are new nations/regions just not understanding that they are not allowed to do it or are they just more desperate for newcomers?

Regardless, I am tired of it.

If you are a recruiter PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO RECRUIT FROM PLAYER CREATED REGIONS! Not only is it against the rules, but it is incredibly annoying.

I tend to get more of them when one of my nations is high up in a rankings for something, or when I have a proposal up for vote at the UN. Have you been high in the rankings lately?

I wouldnt know to be honest, but I highly doubt that. I think its just the fact that I am of the leftist persuasion and that makes every Redblooded newborn region think I am up for grabs. :rolleyes:

You do realize that the only people who will read this thread are the ones who don't need to read this thread to know the rules. It's only the ones who can't be bothered to read anything before they start playing that are the problem.

Some useful phrases, if you're having trouble coming to terms with n00bishness:"I didn't know"

LOL! Although you are right on the money Fris, I cant say that I posted this necessarily FOR them, I mainly meant to vent my recently attained anger at them and to see if anyone else was having the same issues (perhaps maybe it was a trend, I dont know..) :)

If so, it's been consistent across my tenure as both a Forum Mod and a Game Mod. N00b adspam is a constant here. The real problem is how most people handle it. The correct way: send them polite rejections with links to the rules, Add them to your Ignore list if you get really annoyed, report them and we'll handle it. The incorrect way Tell them to go fuck themselves Counterspam their region until they go away Get really annoyed and flame the hell out of them, and THEN report them to the mods

I haven't seen any change. There's always the occasional TG, but it doesn't happen often enough to bother me. The only problem is when the n00b flames me after I mention the rules. That only happened once, and he probably did it to someone else, because by the time I read his TG, he was already DEATed.

Well thanks to you all, I was only wondering if was a growing trend or not.. like I said I bet you anything it is just the fact that I am a red and just about every kid in 9th grade is reading 1984 and is trying to start their own region based on it.. :rolleyes: Ah well. Thanks alot. :)

I think I may be the only one who read this that did not know that. I have not started recruiting to other regions yet. Phew. Now I can avoid trouble.:)

Can I nuke the offending nation so it's just a smouldering crater by the time I'm done?
