One thread is plenty for a given region. If you can't see on the page, go to your User CP and update your settings. Better yet, Subscribe to the thread.

Your region may be the best thing since sliced bread, but that's equally true of the other 12,956 regions currently listed. How about not trying to crowd them out.

I did not realize there were such strict rules to recruiting.

Our region will no longer recruit. Hey, maybe our region will no longer exist.

If individuals don't want to read recruiting messages, perhaps they should exercise their right not to read them! I find this less intrusive than those who send out recruiting messages within the nationstates telegram system! I suppose I will have to do that to comply with the rules.

One thread in the Gameplay Forum is the place. Posting them elsewhere is not the place, and is thus spam. People who want to find a new region will come here to find one; they aren't likely to look non-Gameplay forums, to say nothing of Jolt forums that have nothing to do with NationStates.

Democracy != free speech, that's the 1st ammendment. Democracy is your ability to choose how you are governed, not your right to say what you want. Geez.

Anyway since we're on the subject, are the advertisers in the rejected realms allowed to advertise there? There's been constant ad spamming there lately.

Unless you are involved in the Big Brother government, free speech still means free.

Actually hack's cartoon is absolutely correct. The 1st ammendment is about your right not to be thrown in jail, fined, or otherwise punished by the government for expressing yourself. It doesn't require people to not kick you off their property(which is the catagory a forum would fall under), it doesn't matter if it was for expressing yourself or not.

Being an election year, the claims of Delegate Ricter have not gone unnoticed by the President and other Centurion Party members. Simply responding "Ricter is an extremist nut who manipulates the truth for his own gains," the President once again has minimized a massive dilemma facing the Pattonian public: Who are the real terrorists? Some of us in the non-governmentally controlled media believe we, the masses, are being led to the gallows with freedom and representative government close behind. With over 80% of the seats in the Pattonian House of Delegates filled by old guard Centurions, minority parties (namely the Liberty Party,) are having our voices muted by government censors!
Now is the time, with new elections forthcoming, to vote the old guard out of office. So many laws for the rich...so much discrimination against free thought! Let's get out and vote, fellow freedom-loving Liberty Party members!
It is no wonder President (we like to call him dictator) Earlsson has resigned his post as Prime Minister of Selstadia. Let's briefly list what has happened to the entire region while under his watch: a terrorist attack; failed UN resolutions for educational rights; a vote against a resolutionto ban nuclear weapons; two Selstadic nations on the verge of dissolution; the adoption of a single currency for the entire Confederation without the consent of the governed.
In the end, congratulations to Dictator Earlsson on a brief and erroneous career as the Prime Minister/UN Delegate...one marred with your determination to consolidate power and eliminate your opposition.
