How well do you keep track of your puppets?

Personally, I keep pretty good track of them. I even have a master list of them with information on where they are and what they do, and I have them all in my dossier on NS, which is handy for checking up on them and keeping the inactive ones from dying.

Sam, you have entirely too much time on your hands. But I mean that in the nicest way, honest.

Well enough, since all I need is a dossier. And the ability to keep the nation with that dossier alive...

The only puppets I've admitted to on these forums are Boricuastan and Lois-Must-Die, though it should be fairly obvious that Thessadoria is also me. Got a few others; none worth mentioning, however.

Not worth mentioning? Your puppets are usually very good.

I currently have about 20 living puppets, but most of them are inactive. I don't have them in my dossier, but I have a text file on my PC listing them. I usually keep track of them, but I have lost a few. Awhile back, I was looking at a bunch of nations that had just CTEd, and I suddenly realized that one of mine was in that list. :(

I forgot about Mark Tom and Travis and the now-deceased Omigodtheykilledkenny2; I've admitted to them too. There's also a certain legal-themed puppet that Eco left me a while back. ;)

I use my dossier, but I frequently forget about them. It's usually a mad dash a day or two (sometimes and hour or two) before they're scheduled to die to log in and keep them going.

I tend to forget about them until I notice them mentioned as ceasing to exist in the Regional Happenings of a region I'm browsing. I think the moderators are probably fed up with having to resurrect The Envoy Of Safalra. I've only recently started using the dossier feature (and mainly to keep track of my opponents in the race to become the next delegate of England).

This deserves a followup.

I don't know about that specific nation, but the restoration process is no longer automatic and unquestioned. If we are asked to rezz puppets too often, we stop doing it for that player and his puppets. This is especially true for those few folks who ask us to rezz puppets that are still in Lazarus and haven't logged on since the last restoration.

I only have two "active" puppets: Wailele (http://www.vguild.hostrocket.com/Wailele/WI-main.html) Island (http://www.vguild.hostrocket.com/Wailele/WI-main.html) and Stolidia. Both of them are pretty active in their regions, so they're kept up quite well. I also have an "unacknowledged" puppet sitting in a moribund region, for use in case I have a need for a "developed" nation sometime. For that one, my dossier is all that keeps it alive. ;)

I've got to wonder. If any of your puppets were to die, would you file a GHR or just res. them yourself?

I keep horrible track of my puppets. Considering that I have my finger in about 9 different pies, and have multiple puppets for each identity, that adds up to a lot. I like the master list idea though.

Ah, sorry. It shouldn't be a problem again, as I've now created a nation (Puppets of Safalra) to keep tack of all my puppets.

I just had that happen and had to file a huge GH request. Was not a pleasant thing to wake up and have to do. :p

Work and getting ready for school made logging into NS less of a priority for awhile.
