Question about invading other regions...

As an opponent of U.N. groupthink I was wondering if my nation of Frieks could still be of any use in taking over other regions.

I know of no way to crash regions without joining the UN. Just dont do either. ;)

You could probably help an invading region by scouting for targets, recruiting new members, etc. But for the actual region crashing, you have to be in the UN.

At the risk of sounding preachy, there's generally more fun in being "pro" something than in being "anti" something. Like, if you're sitting around just waiting to spike the UN's guns then you're letting the UN make the running for you.

If you watch a few proposals through from go to whoa, you'll see there are dozens of different broad groupings within the UN. There are free-traders and protectionists, one-worlders and sovereigntists, tree-huggers and developers and all shades in between (plus my mob, the Amalgamated Nit-Pickers and Grammar Nazis). People who are in each other's pockets on one subject can be at each other's throats on another.

So, argue consistently for the things you support. You won't have to join the UN to do it, so your nation won't be affected; you may cause a change of direction in what currently seems to you like group-think; and, coincidentally and without straining your conscience, you'll probably annoy the hell out of the people you want to annoy, anyway.
