Recruiting

If there already have been dozens of threads concerning this, or if I am posting this in the wrong forum, please let me apologize in advance. However, I am curious about something. How is it that other regions can get so ridiculously populated as regions? I'm (naturally) not refering to feeder regions, but normal ones. I mean, I know that a "recruiter nation" goes to the feeder boards and advertizes, but is that it? Is that how other regions become so full of nations?

Or am I missing a crucial detail?

AFAICT, some people are more effective recruiters than others. Maybe they're more agressive, or maybe they have better messages. I'd like to know how they do it myself, so I could turn Outer Planets into a thiving region with a few hundred members.

I wonder that also. My region Aotearoa has only one nation in it and i can't seem to get anyone to join it. It's like you need to have friends join your region and then other nations will join because of the high population.

The region that I have now, Venice, was not my first region. I've had them before, but they never had much of a population. So, I thought that if I opened a region with a common name, more people would be aware of it and stumble upon it. But still, the population is low, only four nations.

At least I am not the only one struggling with this problem....

The hardest part of starting a region is getting it off the ground. The easiest way is to ask a real life friend or person you have met in the game to help you.

However looking at your region you have two UN nations but no delegate. Most nations are unwilling to move to a region unless there is a delegate there so if you manage to get someone to your region on the promise of making them delegate then you will find it much easier to recruit nations.

Why is having a Delegate so important? There is a founder, there is no real need for a Delegate. Why does having a Delegate make a difference?
