Can anyone give me advice as to how to quickly compile together a factbook for my Nation? (i.e. maybe a website server like Tripod/Angelfire, or just plain text) And also, what sort of information is a necessity?

How much you write is up to you: Some people write a lot, although many don't bother at all. One possible place to put it would be 'NSiki' (Sorry, I don't have the url for that site handy, but googling for the term usually works.) You can't actually link it to your nation's NS page, but you could include a link in your forum sig: The necessary formatting for this is "[ url=whatever] Say something, such as the nation's name [ /url]", but without the quotation marks or the spaces immediately after the "["s....

You can use NSWiki, a website similar to Wikipedia for NationStates. There's a link to my NSWiki page in my sig, so you can use it for ideas. By the way, if you RP as a nation with a constitution, etc., I have one of those on NSWiki, too. Not as wordy as some NS constitutions, but it guarantees a lot of basic rights.
