Does anyone know what the different levels of regional influence are and where they compare? My friends and I have been debating this and we dont even know who's nation has more influence. Thanks in advance!

There's no official list, so if you are trusting, use this (http://www.safalra.com/special/nationstates/influence/).

You could also look up the meaning of the words, and deduce the ranks from there.

Trust has nothing to do with it - it's a case of reading the evidence I provide on that page and determining whether you think it is sufficient to support the theories stated.

All right, so it is.

Personally I think it is trust if you accept something without even looking at the evidence, even though the evidence is available. How is it not trust if someone accepts your list and does not check whether an influence ranking does indeed match a region where x nations have the same influence? Not that I believe everything this easily. :)

Well, I wouldn't encourage people to take what I say on trust, but I guess I can't force them to look at the evidence.

All the nations in my region on the 1st day became Hermit and then on the
2nd day it dropped. Why did that happen?

My page linked to above answers that (emphasis added):

The national influence ranking (ranging from 'Minnow' to 'Hermit') is determined by the ratio of national influence to total regional influence and the previous UN update. If the nation joined the region since the last UN update it has no power. If the region was created since the last UN update all its member have ranking 'Hermit' until the next UN update.
