A question...
I've been considering RPing on NS, and I've been going over military stuff, trying to decide what I want. I was working some figures, and it resulted in a question that I have for everyone.
How many people are in your armed forces?
This would include combat infantry, vehicle/ship crews, logistical support, administrative duties, and reserve forces.
I'm not so much concerned about percentage of national population in the armed forces as I am the actual number.
*hopes this question belongs here...not quite sure* :confused:

I myself bought my army from storefronts. If you are an FT nation I would suggest the Star Forge line of stores, where I bought my army. The total amount of combat infantry is 1,453,456 troopers. Vehicle/ship crew is pilot, engineers, gunners, right? 75,977. Total combat personell: 1,529,433

Well generally folks either roleplay building/having them because we aren't given one. People like their armies and wars when they have nations.

I'd recommend using the formulas and unit types presented on the Western Europe regional website.

If you don't mind a tiny bit of math, they're quite realistic, and cover everything you need.
Edit: I completely forgot about this until I saw New Czardas link to it in the "Alternatives to RP War (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=491532)" thread, it's an army calculator that goes with the webpage. It will do all of the math for you, and show you the available options to spend it.
