Urban transportation and transportation between cities is all done by publicly-provided trains and aircraft; but people who must transit between urban and rural locations where there are no mass transportation may own cars, also paid for by the state, but manufactured by private companies. The government also uses cars to transport dignitaries, and private companies that need to ship items to locations, in amounts, or on schedules not adequately provided for by public transportation can purchase and own trucks to satisfy their requirements. Some collectors and museums in Xanthal do have foreign-built cars, but the minority that uses cars at all by far uses those produced by domestic industry, which also exports cars to a limited extent. As a sidenote, Xanthalian cars are noted for their efficiency, safety, and reliability, but not for their style or luxury.

Top Xanthalian automobile manufacturers [translation] (location): expertise
-Nova [Novay] (Nova, Frelănd): compact cars
-Ivre Tö Pĕleä [Transportation Solutions] (Yilo, Rĕnkö): compact and large cars
-Wätsän [Watson] (Rävež, Frelănd): small and midsized trucks
-Mävanä Wize [Pyramid Trucks] (Mävanä, Wäkemişö): large trucks (this company also makes space transports)

Most people in urban areas use extensive public transportation, as well as an extensive rail system, and street bus system. High speed trains cris-cross the nation. Helicopters and aircraft are commonly used by the wealthiest citizens, its not uncommon for the majority of highest executives in the megacorporations to have a chaffeured limousine style vehicle or ride an helicopter to work. Most private vehicles in urban areas are automated, with advanced sensors and automated driving technology where no driver is needed though there can be one. Cars are primarily compacts due to the high volume of traffic in the mega-cities despite widespread public trasnportation, though there are some sedans usually for the more wealthy, and sports cars.

The megacorporation Ilon-Madro Motors produces, and sells most private as well as commercial vehicles such as cars, trucks, vans under their various brands etc. Because of the wide use of public transportation The two luxury brands by Ilon-Madro Motors are Aerionian Motor Works (AMW) (Like a BMW or Mercedez Benz), and Adinas Motors producing luxury sedans under Adinastat (Like Bentley and Rolls Royce) as well as sports cars under Adinass (Like an Ferrari).
Romanar

Romanar builds most of it's cars. Since it's not really connected to RL Earth, it doesn't use the same brand names that Earth does (unless they're mentioned in an issue).

However, though cars are still the primary means of transportation, Romanar's population boom, combined with oil shortages is pushing more people towards public transportation.
Maraque

Since the Secular Empire of Maraque is based on a NS-like Earth, it uses real life cars.

The most popular brands in the Secular Empire of Maraque are Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, and Audi. The next favorite brands of people in the Empire are Nissan, Toyota, Acura, and Lexus. Then you have the highly popular Hyundai and Kia. American cars are banned in the Empire. This doesn't include the foreign brands that most American companies own such as Saab, Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover, they're still sold in Maraque.

The Fiefdom of Uncle Noel possesses only one type of car, the Zagreb Peoples' Car, which looks like a Trabant.
Or for those of you who don't know what one looks like,

In the Fiefdom, a car is a mode of transport, not a luxury.

:) Daolyth uses a very extensive mass transit system. Maglev trains and ferries are commonly used. However, according to the highway report most people drive imported Japanese and European cars, particularly Audi, Opel, Mazda, Toyota, and Honda. There is one national car company, Dorpex, but is limited to the region and only makes small commuter cars.
