Ok, just started a new region called the Democracy of Hapiness (If you have a North Korea-type nation, join up), and I was wondering how you send out those telegrams that I'm sure we've all gotten once we first create a nation. Do you have to do it manually, is there a way to do it automatically, does your coutry have to be of a certain size, does your region have to be influential...? How does one do that?

People are doing it by hand, watching the regional happenings and when a new nation is founded, they TG them.

The only automatic telegrams are the one sent to your nation welcoming it to NationStates and the one sent you your nation welcoming it to the UN. All others, including the regional advertisments are sent by players manually. In the case of region ads, folks usually use a copy-and-paste method.

You forgot the Compliance Ministry Telegrams.

And the resigning from the UN telegrams, and the becoming a mod telegrams... well, actually, I think [violet] writes those personally, but I have no idea, I've never been one (thank insert deity here), so I'm just assuming.
