Issues need more options!

I'm a relatively new player, but i've noticed one flaw in game play so far. Each of the issues that i've been posed with only have a few options. they seem to only allow extremely liberal or extremely conservative stances on the issues. there is always the option to dismiss the issue of course, but i feel that there needs to be more moderate options. anyone else agree?

First, welcome to NS :)

second, the extreme issues are actually delibrate. at least until you get around a billion population, when the issues affect your nation less and less.

>Why is my nation so weird?

Everything is exaggerated a little. Well, okay, a lot. Your decisions affect your nation very strongly, so your country might seem like a more extreme version of what you were aiming for. Unless you have radical politics. In which case you probably think nothing's wrong.

Look at the bottom of the issue. It usually says who wrote it. Complain to them.

Or... don't, as they can't change it once it's an issue anyways. If you're really that bothered about it, write your own issue. You'll have to wait until you turn 500 million, so by then you should have a good idea about which issues exist and what you'd like to write an issue on.

Thanks. I'd been wondering about that too.

Do you know how annoying they are?

I've taken to ignoring the context of the issues and just focusing on which stat it affects. My decisions have been so colored. I do not restrict free trade because I want a better economy and do not want a black market, therefore I have to allow private companies to operate tollbooths on footpaths and such.

So that's my suggestion. Ignore the justification for the issue, just concentrate on what stat(s) it affects.

Ah... but that's boring.
