Yeh, so i'm new to nationstates, and i'd say that i've been doing pretty well with my political freedoms and civil rights (world benchmark) But now, my last option was to abolish or support the death penalty, and last time i checked, abolishing the death penalty is supported by civil rights activists. So why the heck did my civil rights go down to excessive and why the heck did my political freedoms go down to average????

So why the heck did my civil rights go down to excessive and why the heck did my political freedoms go down to average????The death penalty issue is, in a way, a Hobson's choice. If you want high Civil Rights and Political Freedoms, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. If you go to the Got Issues? forum and re-read the issue, you'll see the two choices offered:
A) The civil rights activists want it banned
B) The majority of your citizens want it legal
By siding with the activists, you are ignoring the majority of your populace. Thus, they're disenfranchised and upset so your Political Freedoms drop, even though your Civil Rights go up.
