I really doubt its possible, but would it be possible for any of the left-wing nations to have a powerhouse or otherwise really good economy? I mean, I ralize that there is no private business allowed, but if you could manage to get your taxes up to 100% I could see it happening.

Yes. If you look, for example, at the Anticapitalist Alliance region, you'll see some nations where private enterprise is illegal, but there are Powerhouse, All-Consuming or Frightening economies. Furthermore, there are nations there with low political freedoms (and hence categories such as Left-Wing Utopia) with good economies. So you can have a strong command economy in NS.

Yes. I have a frightening Economy and a 100% tax rate and banned private enterprise. It just takes the right issues.
