In the real world on January 27,2006 Sonofusion or table top fusion was confirmed as a reality. http://physorg.com/news10336.html . My nation has been working on this for a while. There are previous posts which mention the Commonalitarianism doing this. It has the potential in a kilometer of seawater to power the entire United States for a thousand years. I am using near future tech so project the current discovery ten to twenty years in the future-- cheap unlimited small fusion reactors. I think I would say something like all external energy sources, wind, water start shutting down. Suddenly massive changes. Not sure. What immediate technical stuff would I be able to make suggestions.
