else finding it very difficult to recruit nations recently?
and even the new ones aren't as good and active as before

maybe its just me but i've been using the same kind of recruiting tactics as ever
at one point i got the region upto 150 but felt it was too much to watch over
now i can't keep it over 50 anymore :(

and new people who come never do anything

anyone else have this problem?

I find that people are being inactive, yes. So this region I made with a puppet is starting out saying that you can do whatever on the RMB, spam or whatever, but on the forums is where real stuff goes down. So, in reality, you only have those people on the forums to look out for.

Saw this thread, and it concerns me....I just joined and am interested in long term, active play...should I be concerned that things are in a decline? In other words, would actually becoming involved with this be a waste of time?

*SNIP* would actually becoming involved with this be a waste of time?

Not at all. As long as you are having fun in what you do, nothing is a waste.

The Honor Guard has started out strong and we at this point have 23 nations and are proud and happy with that. The thing is, recruiting is always going to be slow and laborous, and we are just pushing forward. We are recruiting for a very elite crowd and specify it at every junction "WE ARE AN ACTIVE REGION DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO BE ACTIVE!" But we too get the deadweights every so often, but we roll with it well.

Bragging rights of over 50 nations is just not something we are fighting for. We just want a good community (if small) of good RPers. I suppose if you want me to close and keep it short, we have had those problems, but I wouldnt fear it at and wouldnt be worried about it at all.

And if anyone needs a region that wont dissolve into roleplaying inactivity, come check The Honor Guard out, because we are doing great and are only going to continue rolling on... :D
