The West Pacific: Overthrowing A Democratic Feeder

As some of you may know, the West Pacific's democratic government has been overthrown by the delegate and a select group of outsiders who choose to support the delegate in his cause.

Many know The West Pacific as the first true democratic experiement in the Feeder regions. It has stood for two years as a strong pillar of the NationStates community, which gathered people together through the power of the vote.

The delegate, Wickedly Evil People, overthrew the West Pacific's democratic government in a stunning move. During what was supposed to be a democratic process, the West Pacific initiated a Convention to draft a new Constitution. The Convention itself was controversial, as the vote to start the Convention in the West Pacific's Council had failed to pass.

During the Third Constitutional Convention, it was clear that it was only the ideas of the few that mattered. Despite being outnumbered in support, Eli (Wickedly Evil People) tossed the Convention when it began to get too close to choosing an idea that was not the one that the delegate had proposed.

Shutting down CC3, the Delegate chose to tear down the 2nd Constitution as well. In its place, he created a new West Pacific in his image, forcing a new government down the throats of the people. Meanwhile, the Delegate chose to eject any and all opposition who would stand against him in this move from the region. The demand that all ejected/banned nations must swear an Oath of Fealty which would bind them to the delegate and the region forced an ultimatum on those who had been banned.

The people, they rebelled. They lashed out and are fighting back for the region which they have contributed so much to, because they are seeing it tarnished in the hands of tyrants.

Because support is so low within the region for the delegate, he has been forced to gather outsiders to support him. These outsiders know nothing of the West Pacific or it's community.

The delegate's endorsements, popular support, and legitimacy are continuously coming under fire.

As much as I sympathize with you Shas, the official position of TNP is:
The Government of The North Pacific consider the recent events in The West Pacific as an internal matter best handled by the government and citizens of The West Pacific.

The Government of The North Pacific therefore does not offer its support nor condemnation to either faction in this internal matter.

This stance may be reviewed should further information come to hand or should actions by either faction affect the region of The North Pacific.

Y'know, just on idle observation, are you so suprised that a move like this would come from a nation call Wickedly Evil People? I saw the little announcement(eli is evil! etc.) on the West Pacifics board, and everything, but I'm wondering what you were thinking when you first elected the guy...

And by the way, the whole starting post sounded like A+ propaganda material to me...
You have a knack, I suppose...

Well, Wickedly Evil Peoples is the same player as Eli--a hitherto well-respected diplomat. Eli may be most easily connected with The Meritocracy (governing body of the region The New Meritocracy), having served as Consul, Quaestor, and other positions that I, with no doubt, am forgetting.

Puppet names mean nothing. Heck, contrary to what my puppet may be named, I am actually neither jiggly nor wiggly. ;)
