A military tactic

Me and my friends have been researching military tactics for the last couple of weeks and think we want other peoples thoughts on it.

Okay firstly we have a barrage of cruise missiles against airbases and anti aircraft installations and military comunications. this barrage is led by a wave of air cavalry about 100kms into the country. these men are airlifted into areas of public necessity eg water filtration plants, power stations, to prevent events such as arnhem arising we would have a extra chinook or two on hand so the men are dropped with supplies and anti . while this occurs we have armour (tanks and what not) move across the border. They then start blitzkrieg activities (eg move around heavily fortified positions and continue pushing further into the country). they would focusing in on any areas where our troops are low on supplies. while this is occuring we have mechanized infantry assualt these hard positions with some help from armour and artillery that has been left behind. these then pack up and continue onto the next objective/fortification. along with the mechanized infantry there would be air suppourt ( tigre gunships etc) while the front push would be helped by long range aircraft eg f-16s and f-15s incase of any air or ground resistance. before the troops leave reeserve units come in and maintain law and order until the conflict resloves and stay for a period after in a peace keeping role. This plan is still in the begining stages and i still have to iron out some creases. ive tested this method out on the flashpoint engine in terms of assualt and that and it appears to work. any response will be helpful

Your tactic would work, but think about this,

If you attacked Civilian Controlled buildings(like power stations or Water filtration plants, then you either evacuate the Civilians or risk committing a War Crime) my Military Protocol satates that only those that take up Arms against me are allowed to be executed but those unarmed should be safely escorted out before detonation of said property, also, if someone was prepareing for war, you might not succeed.

in other words, I only attack armed idividuals, mainly soldiers/Police(if they prove a threat) and Militia(unofficial soldiers)

my tactic would be to meet their Army head on(to prevent the destruction of the City and save countless civilians) and doo like I always do, send them a barrage of Artillery followed by Airstrikes and then Armour.

other then that all I can tell you is play "Dai Senryaku" it's a REAL Strategy game for the Xbox, and it's surpriseingly fun.

try it out, your Tactic may work against 1 of 7 countries.
