It's working rather oddly, but is working nonetheless.

Tis an insidious plan, I blame the new update

It's not - that I know - a problem with a MediaWiki upgrade. It's a server problem, and I'm afraid it's out of our hands. Goobergunchia, the NSwiki administrator, knows about it, and will contact the server people (<-- demonstrates the extent of my knowledge on this) but until then, we have to put up with it. I find editing still possible, if occasionally frustrating. I'd just urge people to be patient.

This is going to sound stupid, but what is NSwiki? Is that nationstateswikipedia?

More or less. It's an encyclopedia of all things relating to NationStates. You may access it at http://ns.goobergunch.net, although it's a bit touchy at the moment. If you get a text message saying "a database error has occurred" along w/ other assorted hard-to-read message, go back and try again in a few minutes.

We can't help you with that. These are not the droids you are looking for.

Going back, refreshing, and trying again right away seems to work too. This is what I do.

This has been happening before the upgrade.
max_questions is the number of mysql queries that my webhost has limited a single user to per hour, which in this case is 72000. I need to get my host to raise this number. In the meantime, I'm going to be moving anything else that uses the same DB as NSwiki to a second database - hopefully that will alleviate some of the strain for the time being.
And I know about this problem, so it's completely unnecessary for every single person on NS to tell me about it.

Is this one of those things where some of us making donations might help?
