Greetings all.

I've been in state of limbo between The West Pacific, with it still trying to recover from it's recent coup, and The New Meritocracy, as I've left The East Pacific.

Here's the situation.

When I left TEP, I pretty much did a Simpsons-style exodus of my nation, but by sea and air, to settle in a pre-selected area, already inhabited by some military personnel.

Basically, my nation is advanced tech, with some erring on Star Wars tech from the Star Wars universe. This includes creating a secondary, backup clone military, and have my population include things like Quarren, Mon Calamari, Elves, and Kaminoans, besides humans. And yes, I have Jedi as well, somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 Jedi.

Aside from that, 30 percent of my population is drafted at 18 into the regular, non-clone military to serve standard 2 year stints then put in reserve standby duty when they're done, for 40 years.

I also have the beginnings of a space force, clone military aside, that consists currently of 36 ships (all at a length less than or equal to 250 metres) plus 50 squadrons of X, Y, A, and B wing starfighters for a total of 600 fighters. I currently have larger ships under construction, including shield generators to protect my nation.....

Clone military wise, they are produced at a rate of 50,000 a day, for the past 15 years to this day, leaving about roughly....282,250,000 clone troopers.....

are any of this acceptable, or will i have to axe something??

Note: this is not counting paramilitary troops (police, etc.), reserves, and national guard units, nor does it include modernt tech-based forces i'd be pulling from my two colonies - in 2 different regions

do you guys do map-based RP? like, have nations RP w/each other, and have locations on a map or something? If so, what regions?

Sorry if I sound like a n00b, but I wasn't sure how things are done, and I wanted to get clarification before I officially joined your region (I'm currently located in The West Pacific). Hope to hear from you guys, and thanks!

Well you'd be welcome to join WWSETI. Some of our nations have that are advanced tech. Most nations in our region, however, are modern tech and may not really want to have advanced tech wars... All the same, I'd love to have you and we have a nice parliament which you can take part in.

any thoughts on my military strength thing?

I've been trying to find a home for this nation for quite some time, and well....yea.

Well Im not sure about that. We have a system of RP rules in WWSETI which was designed originally to prevent huge armies. The clone thing isn't all that realistic so it would not be allowed... 282 million men kinda breaks our rules. Our region is very old and the current map is now totally out-of-date. We're working on a new one, but we encourage all nations to design their own country map and we generally stick it on somewhere...

well, the advanced tech is coming mostly from two Star Wars sources:

the Star Wars Databank at http://www.starwars.com/databank

the Star Wars Wiki at http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Main_Page

both do provide logical explanations for how the sci fi stuff works.....

So I see... we'll always welcome discussion in our region on this matter. We have a number of RPers who may agree with you. Offer still stands, but I cannot predict how the RP council will rule on the clone thing.

Understandable. Is there a way I can contact you, say through IM?

Also, I suggest you propose my suggestions to your council and see how they rule on it first?

Um, how do I view your forum? If it's the one listed in the NS region link for WWSETI, it was real confusing to follow...

www.hagge.us/forum is our forum. The site is a little crazy. We dont use it. The forum is extremely active though.

Well, Gelf, what are your thoughts on my ideas? Would they work in your region?

Just thought, I do have another region if you want that. You can run the RP there and make whatever rules you like. Its only got four nations in it at the mo though and you would have to do some recruiting. It shares a forum with the NS Centrist Party, of which I am leader. Region's called Moderate Paradise.

You should give some thought to joining The Covenant (http://www.nationstates.net/28669/page=display_region). If you have never heard of "Halo" then you probably don't know what exactly the Covenant is. Skipping the details, we are a future tech alliance bound together by the Writ of Union. The Covenant is a small, new alliance. It all has to start somewhere though. Recruitment has just begun and there are many positions of power available. If you do join I'll talk to the High Prophet of Mercy about that army deal thing;)
