How Is It That You Would "Declare War" On A Country? Or Make Money?

You'd have to roleplay those things.. they don't technically exist in the game. RP is the way. Check out the list of RP regions and see if there are any you like.

You can also join an invader of defender army, check out the stickied topic with the list of regions ;)

I'll explain this better for you. There is no Gameplay mechanism to do this.
However, there are alternative ways to make war in the game.

You can practice Region Crashing/Anti-Region Crashing, by sending UN nations to a region to invade/defend it. (see 'Gameplay' forum sticks for info)

You can go to a warzone with friends and play that odd game in the name of a different region/organization. (see 'gameplay' forum for info)

You can Role-play wargames with other nations. This is more difficult, but funny. (see 'International Incidents' and 'NationStates' forums sticks for info)

You can use a war add-on named NationStates: Battlegrounds. This option is the easiest one, since this game is just make money - make troops - lose money - attack - lose money again - lose troops - win/lose war
(see zooptek.net (http://zooptek.net/nationstates_battlegrounds/index.php) for info)

EDIT: NS:BG is not part of NationStates, it was created by a player to be fun. Do not ask NS mods or whoever more in this forum for support. It has its own forum, which you may see if you click the link I've put.

Maybe a little disclaimer to that last option would be nice...it's not an official part of NationStates.

however, it's a way of making war with the game. The disclamer can be found in the page. Not to worry...

Hm, I agree. When I orginally signed up for NationStates ((with a different nation; but I lost my password and now it says that the name is "reserved")) I thought the same thing as Zeartul, and then the same thing as Crazy girl.

I myself am not a big fan of role playing, but hey, that's just me. :) ((At least I came back to the game.)) I think it would be nice if NS had a disclaimer or something. I don't know. It'd be cool if this were a Java game - ha - but okay that's just off topic.

Do you know what a disclaimer is??

EDIT: Crazy Girl, I did so....
