Now I'm pretty much new to this Nationstates thing. Where should I start building my nation's military forces, for starters? :p

You can go into several directions..
Roleplay (see the forus "NationStates" and International Incidents")
Gameplay (see this forum, stickies and all)
United Nations (yep, you guessed right, "United Nations" forum)
Answering and discussing issues, and make them when you reach 500 million people ( "Got issues?" forum)
Make sure to read the stickies.
Yeah, ok. Now where can I find those weapon shops? :)

In the roleplay forums I believe, there are no actual weaponshops but they pretend or something. anyways, that's the place to look around.
