President Tunnicliffe took a deep breath, it was a momentous occasion. For the first time, the tiny nations in the Pacific Ocean would be able to compete with other, larger, more established nations of the world. His country, the Republic of Suazo Islands, had waited 30 years for this.

He looked down at the Treaty, cameras flashing in his face, and tentatively scribbled a signature at the bottom. Looking up, there was no hiding a certain sense of relief. The CPS had been formed, and although comprising of only one nation as yet, is assured to be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

The president was in for an exhausting schedule, interviews and press conferences, he wouldn't get home before dark. After this recent development, he thought, surely other Pacific nations would sit up and take notice of this opportunity. One not to be missed.
