I once had five, but I gave them away. Too much effort for no real purpose.

I admit I have several floating around, as emmisaries and such. One of the guys in my region though recently decided to quit the game and moved all his puppets to a single region. He was Florentine Pisa to us. He had 91 nations in all.

I cant see the advantage in haveing several puppet states, they cant help you in anyway, unless you want to rule with a different style

I use my three puppets to RP as different personas. Kind of schizo in a way, but it works.

One is a belligerent goofball. Two is a fringe-element wacko. Three is an idealistic nerd. Guess which one I'm playing now...

What they can do is keep you up to date with your allies, and give your allies an easy way to contact you. They can't be in the UN, true, but they can keep you in touch easier.
Of course, perusing over FP's puppets and knowing he was a defender you can see another use. He apparently was spying on several regions.

No-one will ever know! Mwahahahaha! ;)

Although, for the record, my total post count with all of my puppets exceeds 4,000.... so draw your own conclusions.

Banduria is not my 'main' nation either, it's just one of the few that I use for RPing. I picked it because it was 'evil'.

I'm whacking my puppets down somewhat (too many to manage).

Well, counting the one I "conquered" from my friend, I had three. There was the Greenskinz (take a wild guess what they were), the space pirate nation of Far Tortuga, and Honru, which is the one I conquered. They're all deleted now, but I might bring Greenskinz back, just because.

Roughly thirty. Only a couple actually role-play.

Kicked over to Gameplay.

I don't know the exact count. I would say +/- 60 now. But I once had 105...

And I thought my 2 little puppets was enough?

I'm playing this all wrong here .......... 'must have 50... must have 50...'

I have eighteen nations, but would only call about half of them 'puppets' because the rest are all conceptually separate from each other...

I've never understood the term 'puppet'. Aren't all our nations puppets, seeing as we control them? And why would one nation be a 'puppet' of another just because it was created after it, even if it has no relation or even similarities to the former nation whatsoever?

I have a list of my nations somewhere, but I know I have quite a few. Roughly 20 - 30 I think. They vary in style. My original nation is fairly normal, modelled after the UK economically with some American capitalism thrown in. I have two communist nations -- one authoritarian, the other not. I have an insanely capitalist nation, which is about as pure as you can get. I have a nation which dedicates itself to its military. I have a pacifist nation with no military at all. I have a nation run by druids which enforce public nudity and restrict technology of any kind to a select few. I have a nation of primitives. I have a nation of robots (this one, in fact). I have a nation of pirates (it took a long while to figure out how to make that one work). I have what is possibly two of the only semi-realistic (politically, economically AND technologically -- a FT nation with a concept of politics AND an economic model?! WOW!) FT nations currently operating in II. I have a nation of people so technologically advanced that they may as well be gods. I have a nation of honour-driven reptiles. I have a nation of aquatic people who live underwater.

The scary thing is, I RP (or have RPed) with nearly all of them at some point.

I'm not sure how many puppets I have, but somewhere around 15-20. I only use like 3-6 of them for everyday use, though; others are used mainly for participating in other regions or creating regions.
