Reserved Names
These are names of nations that are no longer in existiance. We sadly cannot use them. Is there a time limit on them when they are availible again? For I really really want to name my nation a name that is reserved. It is so so sad. Is there any possible way to free a name. Do moderators have the power to do so?

18 months, I believe. If Mynation has been dead for 18 months, the Mynation becomes unreserved, and you can use it. I think. That may be subject to moderator discretion, though.

In theory, it's 18 months. However, according to Max there have been lots of delays in releasing old nation names, and I don't know if it's happened yet. Also, you have to accept that certain nation names won't be available for reuse (such as Maxtopia, Eireann Shamrock, or Commando2).
Is there anyway to check a names status or someone to ask?

When you go to the "Create a Nation" page and type in a name, click "Check name" to find out if the name is already used or not.

Name release has been put on hold for technical reasons. No, we don't have a projected date.

You can request restoration of nations you used to own. That's why the names are reserved. What you can't do is request a new nation using an old reserved name. If you were the creator of the two nations above, they can be returned to active service. If you weren't, too bad.

How do I go about getting my old nation restored? I've been away for almost a year now I believe (not quite sure though). Thanks.

Fille a Getting Help request under the category "Nation Restoration". Be sure to spell your nation name correctly, including spaces or underscores or whatnot. It's case-insensitive, so it doesn't matter if you capitalize or not. We do NOT need your email address or password, so don't include them, please.
Your restored nation will show up in the region Lazarus, typically within a few hours, usually at most within a week.
