seriously, i'm stumped here. i've been picking the joke answer or the most harmful answer on every question i could for one of my countries, but i'm still lodged in corperate police-state territory. any ideas?

start by destroying all 3 of your political indicators.

Ex. The public nudity issue.. make it compulsory, rather than banning it or giving citizens the choice at all.

Everything that can be made black or white make it black (psychotic), don't give grey areas for the citizen to choose (dictatorship).

If i were you, I would keep up with the harmful choices, but often the 'joke' options dont work out in the way they seem at first they should. The problem is, your initial choices made at the start when you made your country make a big difference to how your government starts off, and it can be slow to change. The easiest way to have a dictatorship is to call your county 'the dictatorship of' when you start it. Then when they ask, "not so much dictatorshp, please", in the issues, kill the dissenters.

Your nation's title ("The Dictatorship of" or in my case "The Ub3rd00msayers of") has nothing to do with your nation's stats. You could call your nation a republic and have it be one of the most oppressive governments in NS, with nary an election to be found.

However, remember that questionaire you filled out when creating your nation? That is what determines your government's starting classification (like corporate police state) and political/economic/civil liberties stats.
