Stupid Question. Need help.

I'm fairly new to NS and I need some help. I read all the FAQ pages and I searched the NS messageboard for posts related to my question. No luck. So, rather than piss off our kindly moderators with my ignorance, I thought I'd throw my dim-witted question out to the folks. I'm sure somebody answered this question somewhere and at some point, but I seriously can't find it and I've been looking for half an hour. So, please forgive me but:

I currently reside in the Pacific region. If I move to another region, do I lose all my UN endorsements?

Thanks!

Yes.

Wasn't that nice and simple? Don't you wish you came to us earlier? ;)

Yes, you do. You can only endorse people who are in the same region as you.

This is grave-digging, and not good.

However, I'm going to continue. Are these answers not technically wrong? I had thought that once one returned to a region, those endorsements were reinstated. I'd thought it had been a method once used in an invasion in one of the Feeders. I may however be getting confused with leaving the UN and leaving the region. So clearly, leaving the region means one doesn't have these endorsements in the new region...but they're not exactly 'lost', in that on return, they're put back in place.

iBelieve if you return before the next update, you can keep your endorsements. it is a way for invaders to avoid being booted by the current delegate.

let's see...somebody tried to do it in an invasion of TSP...
