I thought it might be nice to have an LGBT community. Anyone is welcome, meaning you don't have to be of any specific sexual orientation.

I feel it would just be helpful to have a group of people, friendly to the LGBT community, band together to organize against discrimination against us here on NS and elsewhere. We could also help each other out with personal problems and whatnot. We could share news and stuff like links to petitions that support our evil agenda :p

Does anyone else here think it would be a good idea?

I think the best way to get the ball rolling is to first get a list of who would be willing to participate.

Sounds like an ostensibly good idea. Of course, we'd probably get moronic cranks blazing through full of beans and vitriol... but that's just like General in any event. The big problem as I see it is that not everyone marks their calendars for events and such, so I don't know how good a source for info I might be... that, and I really don't wanna deal with them thar 'Log Cabin' weasels... :rolleyes:

People, people! I worship hunky firemen as much as the next guy, but let's not lose focus here. I suggest we gather enough people, invade a conservative region, go for the delegacy and then rule them with an iron, but lubed, fist.

I've worked with the Gay/Straight Alliance at my school, and I'm proud to aid in furthering understanding.

Yeah, but it doesn't necessarily have to be for events and if some members don't want to take part in certain discussions or events they don't have to.

I am also sure that we'll have haters infiltrating but we can easily ignore them.

I kinda just like the idea of having backup for certain gay-hater threads mostly. Plus being part of a gay friendly community (or any community) is nice. Sharing ideas with like-minded individuals can be helpful as well. If someone has a personal problem, perhaps we could all be there for them with ideas and counseling.

I dunno, maybe it's just too much work to even try to get it started. There would probably be all kinds of disagreements about how things should be done and whatnot.
