How do I confirm legislation?

Hey, hows it going? I'm new here but I like the idea of running a goverment!

BTW, The first issue I got was the one about voting, I agree with option 1 and I clicked "accept" but it didn't pass the legislation. What did I do wrong? :headbang:

Be patient. The legislation will be passed at the update - which should be soon, actually - and only then.

Basically, they can't possibly update all nations all the time. So they have two updates (one major, one minor), at which changes occur. At these times, legislation is enacted, delegates appointed, and so on.

If your issue still doesn't go through, you may have a problem. Try moving out of your region and back again. If not, contact the mods.

This should have been in tech. (if it actually needed to exist at all, that is)

Why? It seems like this was answered quickly enough without bothering the mods (who, you know, have had one or two things to do lately). Gameplay is for questions about national and regional politics, and overall semi-IC discussions - this seems to fit under this category. If he had a problem with issues updating, then Tech would be the place.

I&P, you sure know how to hijack a thread.

Gruenberg, thanks.

More questions (sorry, I'm a newb.)

1. can we wage war?:mp5: :mp5: :mp5:

2. Is there any way to take over more land? I have a very small population and I think it would be cool to hit a trillion people. :fluffle:

Ok.

1. No and yes. There is no Gameplay war. That means you won't ever get officially into any wars. You might have issues about war, but they're usually pretty bland.

However. You can Roleplay war. This means you pretend, basically, and do it on the forums. Different people do it differently:

- techy wars: this mainly involves designing ships and so on, and comparing them. If you look in the NS and II forums, you'll notice 'storefronts' - these sell ships and so on. Or you can build them yourselves;
- character-based wars: this is usually concentrating on individual soldiers, and describing their experiences.

For an example, look at the II forum. You'll see various wars there, and maybe get a feel for it.

2. No and yes. You can't Gameplay invasions. In fact, even RP invasions are hard - mostly, defeated countries still remain in their owners' hands. There are few in-game empires. However, there's nothing to stop you agreeing to fight a war with someone in which you win and take over their country. A trillion is unlikely though - the biggest nations have about 6 billion at the moment. I'd set your sights down by an order of about 6.

I'm fairly new as well, and thinking of starting a war for new countries to get an idea of how to do it. Would you be interested in joining?

Frewe hulex: ok. Well, maybe we can sort something out. My nations are fairly small. I also quite like the idea of RPing a resistance movement. I have one or two puppets (other nations besides Gruenberg) - maybe we could do an RP of you invading one, or something. Anyway, in terms of RPing war, look in II, at some of the stickies. It gives useful guides on how to set up armies and so on, realistically.

Rp= Ghey As Hell!!!
Your comment = pointless, antagonistic, and unnecessary as Hell!!!

You've joined a game with a high RP quotient, Dans America. Either learn to like it or learn to ignore it. Comments like yours don't advance anything. Knock it off.

actually, that would be telpathy. telekinesis means to move objects with your mind.

tele = thought

kinetic = movement. (as in kinetic energy)

They haven't yet announced when NS2 will appear, and it'll probably be some time yet. You might get a better idea from the NS2 forum, or you could try asking on the #nationstates2 IRC channel on esper.net.

Either way nothing is factual so speculating on the sequal to NS probably won't do you much good.
