Hi! This is not to be some kind of infomertial, but the United Republic of Atreides is looking for new members. This region was concieved some time ago, but now it is a new a greater concept. Now, the region is more democratic than ever. All citizens now take part in creating the laws, and now there as plenty of chances for power. There are currently 5 positions being offered, maybe even guaranteed, to the first members:

- Speaker of the Legilsative Assembly: Head of the citizen assembly, UN Delegate
- Minister of Foriegn Affairs: Head of Diplomatic relations and recruitment
- Minister of Defense: Command of the Armed forces
- Minister of the Interior: Justice, the Forum, records, etc.
- National Justice: The offical regional judge for trials

All are powerful positions that you could fill. Also, smaller, but just as important positions need to be filled.

Later on, when the region hits aroound 30, I plan to install a US-Style government (The constitution is already written up, an can be implemented at any time).

Right now, the region is ready, the government is in place, and our forum is up and ready for some using. So as you can see, the region is ready, and all we need is your help.

What else can I offer you? Well, a chance to make this region one of the best concieved. An oppurtunity for immense power, and wealth (If we start a regional currency). A chance to do some real campaigning for territory. A chance for equality, honor, and glory!

And if are wondering of the region is same enough, that is now problem. The region is tightly secured in an alliance with a powerful region (But you'll have to join to find out). So, all I ask is that you think about it, and maybe give yourself a good chance at some fun.

I also plan on using this region for great discussions on history (mostly military, political, and religious), politics, government, political theory, current events, etc. I want this region to be a forum for all to voice an opinion. So, what do you have to lose? Come and join the URA.

I can't understand why anyone won't join. I offer them a great oppurtunity for some involvement, give them great freedom, and have everything set up. I've gone around four or five times now, and no one wants to join. Are you really trying to tell me that the deal I'm offering isn't good enough for you? If so, then tell me what it would take to get you in this region. I've spent a alot of time planning it, so let's hear it!

Come on, let's go. I'm waiting. To quote one of my favorite MADTV Characters: "Don't make me break my foot off in your a**." (JK) But still, let's go, I have all the time in the world (and so do some of you).

I would like to see some people who like history (political, military, and possibly religious, but not so much), are interested in politics, and just like sharing there opinions on anything. Just to have an all around good time, especially inellectually.

Comrade, you must take your offer to the people! There are plenty of floundering nations out there, waiting for someone to give them the oppertunity to be a part of something!

Also, I would like to instill some Napoleonic virutes in the URA. Simply, I would like to see pople take heart in the priciple of liberty, equality, fraternity. Equality especially is one pricipla I champion. I don't care if your rich or poor, black, white, brown, yellow, red, green in some cases, I don't care if you are a NS newbie or a veteran of NS, liberal, conservative, or moderate, gay or straight, etc.. I want the URA to be a place where all men and women (and probably Cyborgs, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!!!! evil laughing.... drunken blithering....and JK) can rise to any height of power on the basis of merit and ability, not birth, social standing, or wealth.

Yes, there are many floundering nations that I shall go directly to. But let them hear me here. Let this be the new beginning of the URA. I started it one year ago to achieve a great region to experiment with and experience politics and also to find the great minds of NationStates. Let them come, and I will speak.

Now I know my message. The URA can be a new start for the old and new. The URA can become like a real nation. I want only to handle the politics and government, but I will need other to handle all the areas that the URA shall delve into. That is what I offer you, a new start.

(After these last few posts, I know I sound like some kind of demagouge, but I'm not. I got kind of iffy becuase I let feelings take precedent. But still, my message is clear and simple: I just want a group of nations who want to build a great region, and participate in a great poltical process. So, i'm not trying to be Napoleon or Trotsky, or anyone else. I'm just trying to rebuild a region that has potential.)

However, I don't want this region to be dull. I love to talk about almost anything. For example, I love comedy, especially in TV and in the Movices. My favorite comedy shows are The Simpsons and Family Guy, some of my favorite comedy movies are the Monty Python movies, Stripes, Adam Sandler comedies, etc. I also love TV dramas (my favorite is the West Wing), and I also like music. So, another reason to join: You can talk about anything to anyone, and you might get some great fun, and experience out of it.
