That's right, the Gondeau-Skahro Map Service is now hiring! Due to the current situation, we will only be taking 1 person. For all of those who make those 10 MB maps on Photoshop with 3D and shading and stuff, this isn't the place to be hired. Just advanced Paint skills wanted. I'm sorry for changing this, but we've decided on a better system. Make a map of MY nation, Gondeau. I want:

Shape of Germany and South Africa combined, half-landlocked, half open
3 Provinces: Gondoo (pale green), Shakti (bright red), and Buruunda (periwinkle blue)
Capital: Gondara, in Shakti (about middle of the map)
5 Other cities: Obulon, Grindor, Laaksha, Wabatoo, and Emani
Some island somewhere w/ Airport
Another airport, plus 2 armories, 3 NAtural Resource Extraction points, resources (including corn, oil, lumber, rubber, and aluminum), Gondeau National Park, and the Military Base of Operations


Whoever can capture these things best shall gain the employment. Good luck to you all!

I'm working on one, but it's not particularly good :S

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with charging for services rendered, despite what they are.

I once charged someone for a haiku I wrote. *shrug* The key is skilled labor - and sure, anyone could do it, but that's a rather smooth map.

If its what he wants, then Gondeau will probably pay for it.

Its what we called 'Commisioning' in the art world, folks ;)

People, please try to cut down on the discussions. This is an employment thread, not a message stream on how evil someone is for charging Photoshop. I knew he was kidding, aight? Anyway... 2 days left to impress me, folks! Oh, and about the motorways and railways... I didn't say to do it, so it can count as creativity. *Sigh* ... thanks for letting out my secret. I guess I'll make it more obvious: if you add extra things, it's bonus. Back to business!

I guess you mean you want your country to be half bordered by land, and half by sea.

Since you insisted, I've made a map with colored-in provinces. Personally, I think such things look a bit dorky, so I've made another version w/o the provinces colored in. You'll find both below.

If I had any idea what you meant by "Military Base of Operations" I would've included it. If you mean a military base---well, I would hope your country has more than one. If you mean the supreme headquarters, that would be too small to show up.

LOL as to payment I dont want real money, of course... Maybe just an F/A-22 or some resources or something like one ballistic missile...

I would like to get a cartographer to map out my region, which is comprised of 20 members. I can fill in the specifics to anyone who might be *crosses fingers* interested in doing something like that for me... The region is Messopotamia, and the founder is Grande Isle. Thank you in advance!

That's what the Gondeau-Skahro Map Service thread is here for! Just place your (slightly more) specific order on the thread, and we'll get right on it! And people, it seems as though it won't be much of a choice. I need more than 2 candidates to choose from! There MUST be SOMEONE else who can draw on Paint!

Well, I guess I am looking for a fulltime mapmaker to join the region. I do not know if that is something that you folks normally do or not, but I need someone who can regularly fill in and make changes for nations wishing to be plotted onto the map. I am looking for a map that would appear as more of a terrain based map. It needs to have a main-continent, which is a large island shaped as a sort of oblong cloud shape. I would like there to be a river which starts out in the center of the northern shore, and than branches into four seperate large rivers, with smaller offshots filling the continent. There should be a large lake in the center of the island, in the shape of an egg, marked as "Lake of Genesis" There is a mountain range dividing the western third, "The Leviathon Mountains" and hills running from east-to-west on a small portion of the south-eastern edge. The only nation needing specific designation at this point is a perfectly circular nation occupying the center of the island, a heavily forested area, known as "Messopotamia Founder" The capital city is on the eastern shore of the lake previously mentioned and is likewise named, "Genesis" The rest of the island can be divided into small territories and numbered so that members can pick where they would like their nation.

Im not sure I can provide a satistfactory terrain map, im probably more limited to political style maps...

Hey man, that's what we're here for! All you have to do is telegram me and I'll update stuff for you. If we make a regional map, we expect it to be changed every now and then. Just put me in your Dossier, and you can contact me whenever! As for the map, I'll start on it right away (don't worry Imperial China, I'm trying to get it on the portfolio; I jsut have to do it at a different computer, so give me 1 more day... please?). I can try to orient my map to a more physical look. Expect it by tomorrow. Oh, and from now on, post your maply needs on the GSMS thread. Thank you.

Well, I guess that's it. You all had 4 days to enter, and I only received 3 applications, so I'll just hire someone. Now, as I found out, although I said 2 people's ratings are the same, I had lied. You see, I set the decimal mode too low, so the actual results were slightly different. And, in a .7 point victory,

Go make it, then! Thank you all who participated, especially Comradeship, it really was very close. If we ever need another mapmaker, you'll be the one I go to. Well, this thread is done (for now), so let it float into the void until I must recall it. And don't forget: if you want a map, but don't want to do it, the Gondeau-Skahro Map Service is here for business! No, I won't add Salesian's name to the title, as he is an employee to OUR business.
