I am terribly sorry people, but it seems my conputer isn't taking the website well. Everytime I try to fix it (or Skahro), it crashes my computer or doesn't led Skahro load things. So I scratched it. Although we can't have a website, we WILL have a quality map service. Just not a top-notch hosting website. Basically, we have no website, but everything is taken care of, so the business is now open again. Start ordering!

Vintovia would like to order a map.

Capital: Vintburg

Regions: North Vintovia, Centralland, Haroldfallen, Principe.

City Administrative Regions: Vintburg, Princetown, Vintenham, Mount Harolden, St. thomas point.

Towns: Merckenford, Ardupe, Austen, Princia, Palm Coast

Base the map on Monaco, otherwise, surprise me!

Palaces: Vintburg, Mount Green, Point Pitru, Manningford Penninsula
Skahro
15-07-2005, 16:45
OK Vintovia, I think I'll have a go at this one. I think I'll be able to get it to you by tommorrow. OH, by the way, what do you mean by City Administrative Area? I'll start the map but I'll need a bit more info, maybe like what regions you want the cities to be in and stuff, unless you don't really have a preference. All I reaaly need is a definition of this City Administrative Ares (Sorry, I'm not THIS dumb in real life!)

All the Best

Skahro, whenever you can get this, please upload the JPEGs of your map and Raxacoricofallapatoriu. Use freefilehosting. You see, I think the loading goes for a little bit, so as soon as you get them in, I'll get them on the portfolio. Oh, and thanks for taking the map. That'll put us at an even 3 each. We'll just alternate from now, if that's alright with you.

I am interested in your service please I would like a map for my region
Imperial China for this just use a standard China map, with major rivers,
lakes, seas, moutains, major cites but I need the Imperial China map divided into 30 equall sized areas with each area having a different color so no two area of the same color touch and a number in each area so as China grows my map can change.

Imperial China
30 different color coded areas
each area numbered 1-30
cities, rivers, moutains, seas, lakes

I have a request, though it isn´t over the entire nation (I´m FT, so that would be a planet) but rather the capitol and the surroundings.

Approximate shape
Colors in the map
Types of buildings you want
Where it is
Bodies of water (optional)
Provinces (optional)
Other (optional)

Shape: Simply think of it as in the middle of a desert.
Colors: Yellow around the city in the middle, which is grey and octagonal
Buildings: Simply make it look like the city is full of buildings (nothing too exact), but with a HUGE tower in the middle, which is the only building clearly visible.
No water.
No provinces.
Nothing else.

Thank you.

Hey man, make your own thread about how great Rune Scape is. You shouldn't post recruitements on someone else's thread (trust me, I know), so make your own! Oh, and I'm very sorry, but Imperial China is going to have to wait one more day... but that's it, I swear. My older computer just won't do it, so you have to wait until I go to Mom's (which is tomorrow). Yes, my parents are divorced. That's about it for now. And thanx, Skahro, as soon as get to mom's, I'll get your work up. Hey, by the end of the week, we'll each have 4 maps done (well, I might have 5).

P.S. I do like Rune Scape, but seriously... make your own thread!

Once I've looked them over, I'll decide if I want you guys to make me one.

Thanks. :)

Sorry, Parfaktu. I'm having problems with uploading pics. There should be 3 more up there, so come back in 18 hours to see everything. You should still give us the info anyway, so Skahro or I can work on it (probably Skahro, as I have 2 maps to do). Oh, and Skahro... how're you doing? If you need help with the finishing touches, just upload it (you know where) and I'll see what I can do (I'm almost done with my final map in the queue).

OK, people, almost ready! I haven't finished Grand Isle (had to start over because... well, it sucked). Skahro, if you want to do this I'll let you. I just can't make a really good physical map. I'ts still good, but it looks a little cheesy. Wanna trade with the city one? By the way, it will be 2 hours until the 4 maps are up, so hold on, folks! And start getting the order ready, Parfaktu. That way, I don't have to wait 12 hours for you to answer. And don't worry, Himalayas, the extra 2 days have given me time to really get into the map. I even searched for an hour on famous mountain ranges, cities... even the actual path of the Silk Road! I promise, although slightly diminished in quality due to my very small storage space, it looks fantastic!

Guys why dont we start putting our maps in PNG format? Its almost the same as JPEG except they dont deteriorate in quality like JPEG
Gondeau
21-07-2005, 19:34
Wow, that IS better. From now on, save the formats in .PNG (although it does take up some more memory). I will do my best to restore the maps and put them in .PNG form. It will take a VERY long time to restore their qualities. I'll try to do some tonight, although it could take 2 hours a map! *Sigh*... Sometimes it really is hard being the boss. Anyway, how's Grand Isle coming along?
Salesian
21-07-2005, 20:23
Done, check your TG....

Dont bother going retroactive on the maps, it only matters if you are in the process of building them. Once they are already made theres no reason to change the format.

One, the map is done, Grand Isle. It's been done for 2 days. Secondly, I'm going on vacation for 6 days, and I won't have any Internet access. Can you take over, Skahro? I'm just asking you to keep the business flowing. If at anytime the thread drops low, bump it, that kinda thing. If you have a map done, just save it until I get back. Oh, and I have one final process that will go in accordance with the website I'm getting (trust me, this one will work).

1) In your map folders, create 2 sub-folders: "BMPs" and "JPGs"
2) Make the map and save as a .bmp in BMPs
3) Save it again as another map, this one in JPGs as a .jpg
4) When the map is finished, upload both onto freefilehosting.net

Don't upload anything until Wednsday. Good luck, and may the business be with you... ;)

* Approximate shape: Main Body: Roughly circular with multiple bay and fjorda and all that part of the edge. Outer Isles: ten of them same shape as main body but smaller.
* Colors in the map: Red
* Types of buildings you want: Could you explain?
* Where it is: In the middle of the sea
* Bodies of water (optional): some scattered lakes here and there in the islands. They're not very large ones except for one in the main body. (in the NW)
Gondeau
28-07-2005, 17:58
By buildings, I meant something like an armory, a military base, a seaport, the Gate to the 9th Circle of Hell, that kinda thing. And you need to give me some cities and your capital. Also, what shall the sea be called? Or the lakes? These are essential to good maps.

I am pleased to announce that I am in the process of another website! The first one I tried was bad, but THIS one is fine... promise! Well, people, the website is finally up. I know it will work... because it's custom made. 3 hours of HTML coding. The website domain is not exactly related, because I wanted to use one I previously had. I used it for economical statistics, but not anymore. Anyway, it's up and running, the link is adjusted, and I eagerly await the response from Zatarack! Oh, and Grand Isle, you have to ask Salesian to do it, because 1) He made it, and 2) I can't do anything with the shading. Salesian, can you get on that ASAP?
Thomish Empire
29-07-2005, 03:51
The Thomish Empire woul like a map! The shape of the country is the shape of a long, not to thin stick! it is mostly smooth on the costs. It has a river about 3/4 of the way north that goes from coast to coast!

It has mountains all north of that river and south of it is mostly plains! colson the capitol is about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom of the country on the west coast! Dundu is on the way top coast of the nation! the most northern spot!

It is a grassy plain nation except for the northern mountains! Oh and just east of colson their are a few small mountains!

Thanks!

I am very sorry if I come across as a bit whiney, however I am finding iot impossible to get my map edited. This is something that is important for myself and my region. If Salesian is able to continue woprking on my map that would be great, however, if that is now an impossibility, I very much like the look of the political map of Imperial China. Here are the specs, if Salesian continues with my map than these chagnes would be wonderful to see as well:

A large forested continent, semi-round. divided into fourty numbered nations for easy selection. A river (The Platte) begins at the northen coast, flowing south. The mouth of the river in in the center of that coast. It branches out into four more rivers part-way through the continent (The Loup , Serenity, Big Blue, Argos Rivers) The Western fourth of the continent is seperated from the rest by a chain of large mountains (The Leviathon Mountains), the largest, in the center of the chain, is snowcapped (Quddus's Demise) There is a good sized lake in the center of the continent (Genesis Lake) In the southeastern edge, there is a range of hills (Darkenrift Hills) IN the northeastern edge, a small desert exists (Desert of Rath) which bears a small lake in the center (Crete Lake). The only nation that must be plotted right away is the small nation, in the center of the island (Messopotamia Founder), which is almost a triangle. Obviously, this is a somewhat terrain-based map. This a regional map, so it ought to be labeled, "Messopotamia"

Thank you in advance.

I've already started on the map, Grand Isle, and I got your other specs you sent me. The way I see it, you like the way I represented the mountains and rivers and stuff, without showing them physically. I will be happy to do this, but I'll still put the map under Salesian's page, as he initially started it.

We've had a really slow week, people. I know there's more people who want a map out there. We need to find them! I would appreciate it if anyone who sees this post could tell about this service to another nation they know. If you cooperate and do this, I'm sure we can get customers. Please help our cause!

I’ll take one. I’ve been trying to find some one to make a map for me. I hope you’ll be able to get around to it, you seem kind of busy, Hope this is detailed enough.
Country Name- Consivania
Size- Large. It need to be kind of big I have close to 2 Billion people

Colors- Green for ground, blue for water, Brown for mountains.

Location- South East is the coast North and North West are mountains, the other borders have nothing special.

Bodies of water. 1 decent sized inland lake in the South western portion of the country, the lakes called, Lake Muse’. The Ocean is called the Sea of Fortune. One large River that extends from the Mountains in the North West to the sea in the South East. River is called the Rowan River.

Cities- The Rown River cuts the capitol- Conesta in half. Put the Capitol closer to the southern end of the river. Closer to the shore than the mountains. The City of Rown is also along the river but closer to the mountains. Place 5 other cities around the country a few in the center a few in the north a few by the coast, one along that natural harbor. You can come up with the names.

Regions- 8 Different regions, give them names and capitols. Again pick the names. With the names I would like it if they kind of had an Eastern European sound to them. Surprise me.

Shape-Rectangle round out some corners and put rough up the edges a bit. Also a natural harbor along the coast.

I guess that’s about it. Have fun with it and thanks. You can telegram or PM me it doesn’t matter if you have questions. Hope you guys can get around to doing it.

How will this decision affect Consivania, myself and all the others who still have maps being done?

My order hasn't been taken yet.... Have you been in contact with them? I was thinking about dropping them an email asking if they know about my order.

GOOD RIDDANCE...
All you ever did is whine about the map. :headbang: Gondeau and I gladly obliged to make specific changes and even total remods of the map. But for Christs sake, after five different versions, you complain about an error that you could have pointed out in the first version, but you wait till the fifth release. And for gods sake, if you know how to use paint, NUMBER THE MAP YOURSELF!!!!

2... 2 versions. I elected to ask for a few things different when I was hoping to get a new mapmaker. Salesian does not get things done and I was hoping that the helpful Gondeau would work a new one for me.

Your maps do not match what is requested. If you did that there would be no need to whine. Noble men also had issue with your inability to follow instructions.

All issues with the map were mentioned several times from the begining versions. It should read Messopotamia rather than Grande Isle was the original complaint as the map was being created for the region. Then you failed to spell correctly. While amusing it is annoying none-the-less. Numbers were also requested from the start as well, if I could use paint, I would have done it myself.

It should not take months to get a map. It should not take five or six requests for the same change before you finally oblige when Gondeau steps in. I can only imagine the terrible wait I might have undergone to get nations set into plots. Your work is good, but you do not pay attention to detail and your customer service is poor at best.

Good bye.

Now I'm confused. When did this happen? I may have just forgot it. Assuming I am "Noble men".

Want to count the versions? I was mistaken, its four. Its definetly not two!!

1) My original ( in which Messopotamia was mispelled and the label was Grande Isle)
2) Gondeau's upload with the nations outlined.
3) Next upload with main map label "Grand Isle" changed to "Mesopotamia"
4) Final version with new rivers names, desert.

You waited until well after the 4th version was done to TG me about the mispelling.

For your information, I have not even started Noble Men's map, so how could I have messed anything up? This proves you have failed to READ POSTS and obviously cannot keep track of the situation :headbang:

The only detail I missed was the spelling and the numbers. Every terrain feature matches your request, Grande Isle

And if you do not know how to do basic paint operations, what are you doing on the world wide web????

And never fear, the two maps shall be done this weekend. :)

Er, could you maybe make mine then? I requested it 17/7, and asked what happened to it sometime in the beginning of august, but I didn´t get a clear answer.

Sonaj, it looks like that happened before I joined up with this firm.
I'll inquire and see what I can do.

Gondeau and Skahro seem to have left me all the work now.

Well, I had mentioned the mountain range I wanted, so really there was no need to ask.

Although branding you "IDIOT" was harsh of me, and I apologise.

Regional Map
Number of nation spaces
Colors
Names of nations
Shape of land(s)
Types of buildings you want
Bodies of water (optional)
Other (optional)

I need a map made for the region of Corinth. Corinth current map of 43 spots is becoming to crowded and we need to expand and I dont have time to make a new map.

I believe a map for 80 nations should work for Corinth for a long time.

Nation names will be a numbering system like N-1 or N1 so nations can just pick a number.

I am giving you full artistic control over the geographical layout of the region, and I would like you show where resources are - like oil, coal, and natural gas- if thats possible.

If you have any question let me know.

Well, If I can find time in my life to make these maps, I'll make them for you guys... My co-workers have pretty much given up map-making... So I have to do this all by myself.
