My NSEconomy states that I'm doing fine - better than the US economy, at least. However, ICly my nation is currently struggling from a lack of labour (caused by decades of intense education programs that caused almost everyone to graduate with a degree of some kind - no one wants menial jobs), and consequentially a lack of industrial capacity. Because of this we've had to begin major cutbacks, and recyling of older ships into more compact, cheaper ones requiring less maintainence and crew. The Empire is currently attempting to rectify this deficit in manpower and resources by invading ex-colonies - specifically a mining colony with extensive industrial facilities.

My economy is in the powerhouse range. It would probably be frightening or all-consuming if I wasn’t such a jerk. Apparently, banning women from working hurts the economy. Who knew?

I RP Taerkasten as a poor, agriculture-based nation, whose only industry is used for building weapons capable of defending the country from technologically advanced outside threats. They ban most civilian industry, and things like cars etc, because A) their religious beliefs are against technology, and B) they are very protective of nature and the environment.

I've tried to get the nation's actual economy to correspond to that image. It's worked, to some extent; the economy's dropped to 'strong' and it should have a relatively low GDP. Thirdgeek is down at the moment, but Sunset RPG suggests a GDP per capita of $11,601. I could stand to lower that a little more, but I'm not sure whether I want to spoil the UN ranking.

We credit Our success to the Eternal Kawaii's largely hands-off attitude towards business. According to the teachings of Our church, wealth is irrelevant, therefore economic policy is really a minor concern to Us. Businesses can pretty much do what they like, unless of course they run up against any of Our (admittedly numerous) religious laws.

My species is doing well enough - plenty of fresh meat (both muscle and organ meats) stored in organic storage bladders and grown in organic food vats for everyone. The herds are disease free and the hunting preserves provide much needed enjoyment. The breeding creches are also doing well as enough of our young reach breeding age to continue our cycle of life. Furthermore, our colonies are thriving and more are planned soon....

Mincing up the dead really does help the economy I suppose
