New Babel

Named after the Areopogus, where St. Paul debated the Greek intellects, our region has just recently been created in order to be a home for free-thinkers and libertarians. As our society creeps further and further from the founding principles of liberty, we see our government deviate from its purpose: to protect life, liberty, and property. Every law imposed on us is a right which is stolen from us. Governments are too large, and too authoritarian. Even as a Christian, I believe (what I consider to be) immoral behavior should be legally permissible. It is not my duty to demand anything of my fellow man than the respect of my own rights. As long as their behavior does not violate my consent--theft, rape, or murder--their quarrel is not with me. It is with their God.
- We fully believe in separation of church and state, realizing that any overlap between these two institutions has always resulted in corruption.
- We acknowledge that everyone is entitled to their own lifestyle as long as it is not harming others without their consent. Everyone has a right to privacy. Meticulously dictating "moral" behavior is not the government's duty.
- We believe in free-trade, knowing that the freer the market, the freer the people.
- We know that taxes should be cut down to a minimum and that our government should return to its original purpose of protecting life, liberty, and property. Individuals are better at preserving their property.
- We believe that the Constitution should limit the rights of the government, not those of the people.
I'm currently recruiting for our fledgling region, which has only been around for less than a week but has seen remarkable activity from a group of serious NS-players. If you're at all interested in finding out more who Christian Libertarians think, or perhaps becoming one, feel free to come to our region. We would be more than happy to have addition input to our stimulating discussions.
