Hi there! I recently restarted Nationstates, and I had a question.

My nation (Matterbuggy) has a population of 1.333 billion. I would like my nation to have a fairly large military but nothing too extreme.

What percentage of my population would be military, and if possible could someone give me an estimate of that number.

From what I've read, no more than 1-2% of your total population, and even less of that force would be in actual combat.
