Do You Like Recrutment Telegrams?

I just put up this poll because i was wondering if people actually liked these things i send.

In an average i say for every 10 or 20 i send out, one comes to my region. is this good?

Yea, that's most likely the general rate unless you're really, really convincing.

Depends. I've so far received two actually smart (And vaguely amusing) recruitment TG's. I don't move, but given that those were actually, well, smart (Unlike the dozens that weren't), I do at least keep them.

PS: Hint: DON'T give people the 'advise' as of how to move to another region. It takes all of five seconds to figure that out. And not adding it maes you look infinitely smarter. More to the point, it doesn't make you look as if you're believing that the spam-receiver has the brain of the average Magpie.

Thanks for your advice.

It turns out that actually the rate is different, but I can't figure it out because I have a thread recrutment too. I try to keep mine short and to the point, and I don't do a standard one, I change so it's taylored to each nation.

I haven't moved any of my nations yet, for two reasons:
1)The recrutment telegrams I've recieved have always been poorly written and rather unconvincing
2)I keep all my nations in a region I made myself, mostly because I don't want to deal with the actions of other people(a quick glance at the recrutment telegrams I've recieved and the resolutions up for voting in the UN shows that there are several people who don't seem to be very smart, at the least) and because it makes it easier to compare my nations to each other.

Only ones that are entertaining to read. I haven't had any of those yet...

Besides, isn't it against the rules to send recruitment telegrams to people who are already in a non-feeder region?

Recruitment telegrams play a very important part in the game. Without them, i seriously don't know how many players we'd lose.

I always read recruitment telegrams. If they're more than "u should join me or i will pwn ur nation" then sometimes I give those regions a brief looking over. Most of the time, nations that send those things seem to copy and paste a generic message in there. If a nation has actually taken the time to look my nation over and decide that I might fit in where they're claiming I should go, then I take time to at least investigate the matter.

If the afforementioned message is sent to my nation, I usually just laugh it off, or take time to point out that my smallest nation is usually bigger than their entire pitiful region (and it usually is).

Hope this helps.

I send a few each day, advertising Atheist Haven.

Really, without them, new people wouldn't change regions.

if I dont like them I just delete them, sometimes I keep them or I make a list of them and which nation they send it to, just in case I decide to one day.

Recruitment telegrams are really annoying.

IDK I'm actually pretty new and got about maybe 4 or 5 recruitment Tele's in the first two days of my nations existence. I look them over. If i like what i see i go. Right now I'm in a great region with active members. Got about 22 nations in there. Peacian. I like the recruitment Tele it caught my eye plus since i was new to the game and they had a web site i deceided to check that out also. It seemed like the place for me. So i moved. Now i send the Recruitment Tele's and the vicious circle continues.
