Hi, I'm looking for a region for Dionica, my country. I'm brand new to Nation States, and I plan to post in the forum of that same name. Here is a my introductory post over at NS. I'm looking for a region with people who participate in the NS forum and aren't overly nichey. For example, I don't want to join a Dragon Ball Z region. My country is based on a modern world with an equivalent tech level. I don't have too much backstory or other info/details worked out yet, but plan to keep a regular flow of output going. I hope that there is a region out there that will be just the right match for me. The reverse is true also. Thanks,

Mennon invites one to Exaequo. We are a region of liberal minded nations that work together. We have our own offsite forum, a cabinet and are planning in the near future to start Role Playing. Also about 3 or 4 of oue members post regularly in the NS forums.

Hey Dionica, and welcome to NationStates.

It's good that you are interested in finding a region, but, if it is alright with you, I would like to offer some advise for your search.

Instead of just asking out loud for a region to join, go searching for one yourself. Tons of regions will offer you membership just because they want many members. They might not care about your individual nation. Instead of having this happen, I would suggest that you look through a few regions, read their message board, and even telegram some of the members. Get to know the people in the region before you make any judgements or decisions.

This may seem like an overly-involved task, but it works if you want a good region for you. Feel free to disregard my advise since it is your choice in the end. Good luck and enjjoy NationStates.

I check out peoples regions when their role play catches my eye and I want to find out more.
Looking for a region through the regions thingy is far too daunting a task.

Why not have a look at some of the threads that take your fancy and check out those who are posting on them?

The Great Plain might be a good region for you. We don't have any niches. We have a small membership right now. And we're active on the boards doing roleplays. A couple of our members are actually famous warmongers and in the top 100 or so in posting.

Greetings to you. Our region may be the kind that you are looking for. It is quite close to being part of the modern world. It is the Asian Continent (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_region/region=asian_continent). We even have an off-site board where most of our RP takes place, and a regional map.

I wouldn't recommend coming to my region Cosmos, as there's practically no action at all. I mean, I'm the most popular Cosmian poster, and that ought to tell seasoned NSers a lot. ;)

If you like psychotic terrorist type people, I suggest going to Antarctic Oasis and then trying to make a living there.

Check out Coreys Region - it is a memorial region , with only 1 member and there is soon to be a battle there.

Also check out The Chaos Raiders if you like takeing over and active U.N. member.
