Awful Circle? Hmmmm ...

Cape Carnivale

So, I'm just casually looking through the regional happenings, and see a nation leave the region. I look at that region, yes, Awful Circle, look down—466!

466 nations. How did they get there? the regional happenings shows nation flowing in at a rapid rate. I don't think I even saw this nation in the Ballotonia's last list of regions of over 50 nations. I haven't seen any advertising whatsover from them. I mean, Free States of Gaia went quickly, but they did it over weeks, and they pursued intense recruitment campaigns.

Did a large community somewhere in the world decide to create a region for their community, and nations from that community to go there? Is this the work of a major puppet master? (I think not: they have a delegate) There delegat was only elected 2 hours ago. They seemed to have sprouted up in not hours (they still have this message: "The UN has not compiled a report for this region yet.").

On further inspection most of the nations there are new, and only sparse UN members. Maybe said group decided not only to create their region recently but many of them to create nations recently, perhaps it is the work of several puppet masters.

What do you hypothesize? Do you know? For it is rather paradoxical ...

On their message board in the actual region, the Rogue Nation of 759 wrote "Planning for the future invasion of a furry region." That would make possible targets of the regions of FurNation, Fur, Furry Federation, and Furcadia.

Unfortunately you are trying to link what you and many others would do. Does it always follow that people are gready, couldn't it be possible that one person introduced 600 others or so.

Well, come on. The founder introduced 600+ people to the game, they all created nations at the same time, and moved them all to the region? That in itself is strange. It must be a few puppet masters creating nations like mad.

I mean, I haven't even met 600 people in my whole 15+ billion years of life. (Then again, I've been living underground miles from the nearest planet that can support life, so... :headbang:)

Oh, woe unto us, for you have discovered the awful secret of Betty Elms Middle School in Deep River, Ontario! Our goal as social studies students was to use NationStates to learn about the varying forms of politics and government, but dear Mrs. Inglewood, we have failed you!!

Listen to the soothing cowbell.

Also; the aircraft carrier comment had me laughing out loud on the Internet.

And Czardas is right, you know. Because it is a known fact that there are only a handful of people online, that constitutes the Internet as a whole. We all spend our entire days by talking to ourselves... OR DO WE?

If any of you actually clicked on the link leading to the Awful Forums, you'd find that there are over 60,000 members. There are between 3000-5000 members online at a time. It is VERY likely to have a group of 1000 individual people.

There is no link! I know not of this "Awful" link!

Keep the ignorant ignorant, the deaf from hearing, the blind from seeing, the cripples from walking, yargh! I demand you edit your post and remove said mention of said forum. It keeps the mystery alive :)

Edit: And we shall NOT have another repeat of that Mr. Commiedus situation, thank you very much.

But aren't school groups marked, and seperated (or something like that), although you're not being serious, so ...

Hahaha, lazy and apparently have never seen a single internet community mobilize so fast onto something on this scale.

There's a first time for everything. In Awful Circle's instance, second time.
