The Republic is an organization of nations who have banded together in peace and prosperity. Our mission is to bring peace, law, justice and civilization to the corners of the universe.
The Republic is a free and fare region that is ruled effectively by the Imperial Senate. The Imperial Senate is a collection of elected citizens who deal with the issues of the people. The nations of the Republic can be any government form that they want but all must listen and obey the Imperial Senate.
There are two social classes in the Republic, citizens and non-citizens. Non-citizens have absolutly no power in the Republic and are barely even noticed by the other members. Non-citizens comprise all new members of the Republic. Citizens, the second class, is comprised of all other members of the Republic. To become a citizen, you must have been a member of the Republic for at least five days. Citizens have some political say and are highly respected by all members of the Republic. Only citizens may become senators or vote.
The Imperial Senate is made up of a varying number of elected senators. Elections for senatorial offices are held every month. Only citizens of the Republic may become senators and must have at least two other citizens supporting them. If they do not have the required support, they may not run for office. The number of senators depense on the number of citizens, one senator for every citizen. After all senators are elected, the senators will elect an Imperator from their ranks. The Imperator will hold the ultimate power in the region and will be the head of the senate. However, the Imperator does not have unlimited power, he cannot officially do anything without the approval of the senate.
All laws and regulations of the Republic will be made and put into effect by the Imperial Senate. When new issues and laws come up, the senators will vote on what to do or whether to pass the law. Whatever they decide, it must be followed by all members of the Republic, citizens and non-citizens alike. No nation may go to war or aid another nation in a war that is not a member of the Republic without the permission from the Imperial Senate. If war is un-avoidable or if the Senate decides it is in the best interest of the Republic to go to war, it will be posted and revealed to all members of the Republic.
