I was looking at the votes for UN resolutions and it seems that almost every resolution has been passed by at least 3 to 1 and in some case 10 to 1. Dont countries in the UN know how to say NO?

Well, just about anything half-righteous is passed. And besides, to have gotten to the stage of being a resolution, (from a proposal, it is somewhat difficult, I believe, for one to reac quorum)

Its because you do not see the results of failed resolutions. I am trying to think of the last one that failed, hmmm... (goes to his region's forum).. ah yes.. Defining diplomatic immunity, it was narrowly defeated, my region authorised me to vote against, which i was happy to do. Resolutions do get defeated. It is hard to get resolutions to quorum.

That still doesn't seem like a good reason for me to join the UN.

Lots of failed resolutions, lots of close votes. Plus, being a UN member has other advantages relating to regional control and the invasion game.

Ultimately, it's up to you. Makes no difference to the rest of us.
