To be quite blunt, it can be anything you want it to be. Certain nations recognize 1 RL day to be 1 NS year, though that seems to be a little too speedy. Others recognize 1 RL week to be 1 NS year, which is a bit more realistic, but then there are others who have completely different beliefs, even up to 1 RL month is 1 NS year. It's really up to you.

For my nations under my nations calendar
I use one month is one NS year so
for a five year term 5 months is 5 NS years and
the election is held any day in the month before
the 5 th month.
I also add a clause this can change retroactively
as aproved by the nations parliment with 60 percent
of the vote, to lengthen the term of office if I need to,
but it can not be lenghthen indefinetly.
No President can be reelected for more then 2 terms
at a time.
